We are delighted to announce the launch of the West Midlands Charity Forum, a new series of roundtable discussions for the charity sector, a joint programme between Investec, VWV and WMFN.
The Forum is designed for charity trustees and senior leaders with the aim to help you build knowledge and sector connections while sharing best practice. To help you get the most from each event they will be structured as roundtable discussions, with participants limited in number. Each one will be focused on a specific sustainability and environmental topic and led by a sector expert.
We would like to invite you to our first event which will be led by Mat MacDonald, co-chair of Better Streets for Birmingham (BS4B). Mat will share the story of the group including how a loose collection of volunteers caught the attention of media outlets including the Birmingham Mail, the BBC and the Guardian newspaper, as well as decision-makers at Birmingham City Council, the West Midlands Combined Authority and other public bodies. Along with Shivaji Shiva, charity lawyer and occasional transport campaigner, Mat will help us discuss issues such as use of the media, equity among stakeholders and organisational longevity.
Members are invited to attend. To reserve your place please email Ian Burrows at ian.burrows@investecwin.co.uk
