Sophie Tobin

Sophie spent 20 years working within the private sector and travelling the world working with businesses to improve their standards and capacity. She also volunteered within the Asia Pacific area introducing netball to China!

Sophie came back to the UK and decided to study for a Sport Science and Business Studies degree which combined her two areas of expertise and gave her the qualification to start working within the sports sector. In her 26 years of working in the sports sector Sophie has lead roles in netball and cycling plus regional and national roles with Sport England supporting the strategic development of volunteers and the workforce. 

Sophie is passionate about helping make a difference to her community and has volunteered in her local area to do this.  Sophie has worked across the voluntary and community sector for some years and is currently Chair of the West Midlands National Funders Sub-group under the umbrella of WMFN.    

We all need to work together to ensure that everyone in the WM is able to access support, funding and guidance to help them become the best organisation they can.
