Members Roundtable Exchange 30th July 2024

The purpose of the exchange is for members to provide funding programme, strategy updates, insights from funding reviews and programme evaluations, sharing local and regional intelligence and seeking advice on funding issues. Unfortunately, the tragic incident in Southport led to Helen Killingley, National Emergencies Trust giving her apologies at the last minute. However, the meeting was packed with updates from those that attended: Tony Thapar, Community Environment Fund, WMCA on the next stage of their work on progressing environmental justice in the WM; Natalie Osborne, National Heritage Lottery Fund on the next phase of their 10 year funding strategy and funding opportunities launched; Dirk Rohwedder, School of Social Entrepreneurs on the latest regional training and funding programmes to support community businesses and social enterprises; Elizabeth Goodchild, BVSC on a commissioned action research project on the impact of Section 114 Birmingham City Council Budgetary cuts on the third sector and a call for funder involvement, plus Peter Hardisty, Harborne Parish Lands Charity sharing their plans to implement learning from the WMFN Annual Conference Participatory Approaches to Funding in the design of their grant making approach.
