Insights: January 2025 Members Roundtable

The latest Members Roundtable Exchange took place online on 21 January 2025, bringing together 16 members to discuss practical strategies for making funding more inclusive and accessible. The conversation focused on two key themes:

  • Implementing participatory approaches to funding for small trusts

  • Reaching and engaging with underrepresented and ‘hidden’ groups who may not typically apply for funding.

The meeting also featured a compelling presentation from Helen Killingley, Operations Director at the National Emergencies Trust (NET). Helen shared insights into the history, role, and ongoing work of the Trust, emphasizing its critical role in supporting survivors, families, and communities affected by national emergencies. She highlighted how NET helps to provide the necessary support for recovery and rebuilding during some of the most challenging times.

Members left the session with fresh perspectives and practical ideas to inform their own approaches to funding.

We look forward to continuing these important conversations and welcome your thoughts on how we can further support inclusive and effective funding practices.
