Carla Belle

Carla is a Commissioning Manager in the Children and Families Directorate at Birmingham City Council (BCC), this is a new role from November 2024. Previously Carla was working in the Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit at BCC as a Community Development and Support Worker where she was the thematic lead for external funding and grant making.

Carla is a dedicated community advocate with nearly 20 years’ experience in fostering resilient communities and facilitating effective partnerships. Carla has expertise in neighbourhood-based initiatives, commissioning, project management, grant making, and stakeholder engagement, particularly across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Throughout Carla’s career, she has demonstrated a commitment to empowering communities and fostering collaborative solutions to address challenges. From coordinating large-scale events and consultation exercises to managing partnerships with local authorities and stakeholders, Carla has consistently championed citizen involvement and facilitated dialogue between stakeholders.
