Members Roundtable Exchange 23rd April 2024

The purpose of the meeting is for members to share updates on grant programmes, strategies, learning and insights from grant funding, research and exchange information and advice on regional issues, challenges, themes and/or grant making practice. Members put forward several agenda items and it was a well attended. National Heritage Lottery Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund provided further updates on their new strategies and programme funding. WMCA Community Environment Fund was launched earlier this year. A £1 million funding pot. It has seen a steady number of applications with the likelihood that most of the funds will be committed by June 2024. Elizabeth Goodchild, BVSC presented an update on Birmingham City Council’s budgetary cuts for the next 2 years in response to addressing its Section 114. The presentation highlighted the implications for Birmingham’s VCSE sector and funders. A copy of the meeting notes and BVSC’s presentation are available.
